This series had a big impact on my reading taste as a young teen and was so influential this decade in general.Ģ011: Sapiens – A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari: This is an incredibly popular book but it made the list because it is what got me into non-fiction. This was “my Harry Potter” in the sense that we used to go see the movies at midnight screenings when they came out. This is one of the first series I really got into, and one of the first fandoms. Even if they’re not the best books of the decade, they’re the ones that were theĢ010: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins: Even though this series came out before this decade, I feel I had to give it a mention, especially since I didn’t really start reading it until well after 2010. These aren’t necessarily the BEST books, but they are the ones that had the most impact on me – they shaped my reading/year/decade in some way and have stuck with me over the years.

Instead, I wanted to mark the most influential book in my life per year of release. Because I didn’t really note when I read books before 2016, it would be too difficult that way. These are sorted by the year of release, not the year I read them. Everyone is doing their end of the decade lists and I wanted to join in, by talking about the ten most important books of the decade – one for each year. Hi all ! Not only is it the end of the year, as we all know it’s also the end of the decade. It is so beautifully written and sung, makes me feel nostalgic, and is a perfect intro to this album. The 1 definitely is one of my favourite songs of the album.

I am in love with this album, and after seeing people do this tag I thought I better do the same, because what better way to combine two things I love.īefore I start, let me just say: the top three songs are ‘august’, ‘cardigan’ and ‘invisible string’ ARGUE WITH THE WALL. What a twist I did not have on my 2020 bingo card !! So I was THRILLED, SHOCKED, BAMBOOZLED when she announced out of nowhere she was dropping an album that day. I’ve been a dedicated and passionate Swiftie since I was about 13, and if you follow my twitter you know I talk about her … a lot a lot. Hi everyone ! The past few days my braincells have been focussed on one thing and one thing only, and that is Taylor Swift’s new album, ‘folklore’.
